Be Prompt
Attendance is taken at the start of class en punto. Please be in your assigned seat, or you will be marked absent. If you are tardy, be sure to bring a note from your teacher, otherwise it will be considered an unexcused tardy. Tardies and absences will affect your overall performance. Please observe the Attendance Policy in your handbook for further details.

Be Prepared
Bring appropriate materials to class. Thorough preparedness (physically and mentally) is expected.

Show Respect & Courtesy
This classroom is a safe, peaceful, and secure haven for all students. Hence, be respectful and courteous of your classmates and your teacher at all times. Willful obscene, abusive, or profane language or gestures (including racial, religious, ethnic, or sexual slurs) is considered unacceptable behaviour and will be dealt with accordingly.

Be Attentive
Listen actively to class lectures/discussions. Pay close attention to accompanying visuals, such as overhead outlines, diagrams, pictures, etc.

Contribute Intellectually
Contribute intellectually to class lectures/discussions by patiently waiting to be called upon.

Complete Assignments
Completing all class work and homework assignments on time will be to your advantage. Refusing to do class work and homework will be evident when semester grades are calculated. Remember, I don't offer extra credit.

Make-Up Work
All work is due on the date as indicated by the teacher, always at the start of class. Work will be considered late thereafter. If you are absent with a valid written excuse, late work will be subject to the agreement regarding "Late Assignments." When you return to class after an absence, it is your responsibility to check with the teacher or a classmate regarding missing assignments. However, if you "skip or cut class" you may not make-up any work. Be proactive...be your own advocate...everything counts. Please observe your handbook for further details.

Mobile Phones, Music, Games, and Food
No mobile phones, MP3 players, iPods, iPads, calculator games, or food are allowed in the classroom. Water is acceptable.
